This cabin is fully offgrid and so… there are a few things you should know.
Conserving Power (At Night)
Once the sun goes down, you’re functioning entirely on battery backup power. We’ve got a big battery bank so you shouldn't have to worry about a thing but just in case… you should know that if the batteries fall below 25% the ac unit will stop working in order to conserve power for more critical functions like lights, etc.
Reseting The Batteries
Should the power stop working for any reason It’s really easy to reset the batteries. Just open the closet in the kitchen. Directly in front of you you’ll see a big dark metal box and on the left hand side (about halfway down) there is a round, green button. Press it once to turn it off… press it again to turn it back on. And that’s it! =)
Reseting The Wifi
We use high speed Starlink wifi! It’s always worked flawlessly, but if something weird happens all you need to do is unplug it for ten seconds then plug it back in. The Router is on the right side of the closet but the cord is on the left, just above the electrical panel. You’ll also want to check the Internet cords and make sure they are still plugged in as well. You can find them on top of the batteries in the middle of the closet.
Trouble shooting the water Heater
Water heaters run for years without even looking at them so you really shouldn't ever have to worry about this… but if for some reason the water is running cold. Just reach out to us… we’ll send someone over to look at the heater for you.
